Sponge Painting with Acrylics on Ceramics - Tip #2
Sponge painting is a fun way to create a super cool effect while pottery painting!
When most people think about painting, whether it be with acrylics, watercolors or the latex paint used on the walls in their homes, 9 times out of 10, they envision it being done with a paintbrush... with good reason!
Paint brushes ARE an essential tool in the artist's tool box. However, it can be really fun to experiment with different tools to create different effects.
One of my favorite tools is the basic sponge. A sponge applies paint in a unique way that creates a distinct, desirable effect.
Sponges are very easy and fun to use. The technique taught in the video above is for beginners and discusses all of the various consideration you will need to make before picking up that sponge!
